For example, the Corporate Governance Code, revised in 2021, recommends effective supervision of management resources such as intellectual property so that they contribute to the sustainable growth of companies. In addition, in businesses that involve research and development, it goes without saying that intellectual property and its quality are extremely important for establishing a competitive advantage, eliminating competing substitutes, and forming entry barriers. However, simply possessing good intellectual property is not enough. Without further utilization, it cannot be expected to contribute to management. Such intellectual property management efforts will only be effective if the three aspects of "strategy planning," "rights acquisition," and "utilization" are all of high quality.
